Civil Service HELPS

For a limited time, civil service offices have a chance to allow hiring under the NY HELPS program.  This program was designed to temporarily simplify the civil service testing process and make hiring easier for government agencies, like many of our libraries.  The program isn’t automatic and the local civil service offices have to take action to start the process.  Come and learn more about the benefits of this program, how it supports the goals of the Equity Challenge and how you can work with your civil service jurisdiction to move towards making this program applicable to your library.

This presentation is open to any one interested in learning more about this program. Albany County already includes library titles under NY HELPS. This presentation may be of particular interest for libraries that are in a civil service jurisdiction other than Albany County and thus not yet HELPS eligible.
