Thinking Outside: Linking the World of Books to Nature Through Environmental Programming Thursday, October 11, 2018 Schenectady County Public Library For your next program, bring the outside in - or take the library outside!
As more research supports the link between nature and mental and physical health, libraries can help youth and families cultivate a relationship with the natural world. Fostering an interest in nature through collections and programming expands your audience, maximizes your community impact, and supports sustainability. In this participatory training, youll explore strategic partnerships and program design for ideas to engage youth in your library with do-it-yourself nature programming. Come prepared to get a little dirty! Presenting: Nathan Keefe, environmental programming leader, incipient librarian, former zoo education director and middle school teacher For more information and to register,
see attached flyer.
