CONGRATULATIONS on taking the first steps in becoming a skilled computer user!!!

I’m not an expert by any means, but being a librarian means that I’m an expert at connecting people with information.  My job is providing the resources & knowledge they need to be successful in whatever endeavor they’re pursuing.

So, I’ve compiled a list of resources that will provide the information you need to become skilled computer users.

Take your time and make sure you understand each section before moving on to the next set.

Don’t understand something, or need help with a tutorial?  PLEASE ASK ME!  I’m here to help you get the information you need to succeed (518-274-4471 or benedicta@uhls.lib.ny.us)

And remember, DON’T BE AFRAID!  No matter what you do, you will not, cannot, break the computer!!!! (Unless you physically apply force, or a hammer, to it with the intention of busting it into pieces…).  Sometimes it freezes just because it’s doing too many tasks at one time, but it can be easily fixed – it’s not broken!

So, move ahead fearlessly and get started learning basic computer skills.

Good luck and most importantly, have fun!!!
