Valley Falls Free Library
Internet Use Policy
The Valley Falls Free Library provides public access to the Internet as a way
of enhancing the library’s collections. Most of the information that is
now instantly available is valuable and enlightening, but the user may also
find material that is unreliable, offensive, or illegal. We encourage all parents
to talk to their children about use of the Internet. Parents or legal guardians,
not the library or library staff, are responsible for the information accessed
by their children. As with other library resources, supervision or restriction
of a child’s access to the Internet is the responsibility of the parent.
- Patrons must be a registered borrower at the Valley Falls Free Library.
- Before using the Internet for the first time, a patron must register by
reading and signing a copy of the Internet Use Policy.
- Patrons must sign in and sign out in the Computer Internet Log Book located
at the circulation desk.
- The library requires parental permission for children under 18 to use the
Internet. A permit authorizing a child’s use needs to be signed. Ask
at the desk. Children under 12 also must have parental or adult supervision
while using the Internet.
- The library is not responsible for technical difficulties that may occur.
