Clifton Park Players - The
resident community theater group at the
Cohoes Music Hall since July 1997. Produce four plays a year and special
events ranging from comedy, drama, original works, and musical to appeal to
all theatrical tastes and provide opportunities for local actors, technicians
and others who love the theater.
The Empire Center at the Egg - An
architecturally unique facility that houses two theatres - the Lewis A. Swyer
Theatre and the Kitty Carlisle Hart Theatre. The Swyer Theatre, seating 450,
is used for chamber music concerts, cabaret, lectures, multimedia
presentations, solo performers and a majority of educational programming. The
Hart Theatre, with a seating capacity of 982, is used for larger productions
including musical theatre, dance and music concerts.
New York State
Theatre Institute - Offers several productions each year in addition
to providing training programs through a theater arts school, internships, and
study guides for school curriculums.
Palace Theatre - A circa 1930 art deco,
performance theatre which formerly served as a vaudeville theater and movie
house. Seats up to 2,807 people.
Steamer No. 10 Theatre - 112-seat theater with a proscenium
stage, excellent acoustics and sight lines.
