Upper Hudson Region Colleges

Albany College of Pharmacy - Offers four programs of study: the five-year bachelor of science degree in pharmacy, the six-year dual degree program (bachelor of science in pharmacy/doctor of pharmacy), the two-year post-baccalaureate doctor of pharmacy degree and the non-traditional doctor of pharmacy program.

Albany Law School - One of the oldest law schools in the nation. Offers a diverse curriculum designed to equip students for modern law practice, while exploring the major theoretical and social issues of today. Offers both full-time and part-time programs that lead to a J.D.. The college enrolls about 240 students per year.

Albany Medical College - One of the nation's oldest private medical schools, the college still maintains a policy of limiting enrollment to a small group of carefully selected students - 128 in each class. The college is affiliated with the Albany Medical Center.

The College of Saint Rose An independent, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences. Offers 37 bachelor's and 19 master's degree programs. Enrollment of about 3,000. One of six colleges in the country sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet. Located in Albany.

Hudson Valley Community College - Offers 55 degree and certificate programs. Located in Troy.

Maria College - A two-year college offering associates degrees in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, accounting, management, legal assistant, information processing, early childhood education, general studies and liberal arts. Located in Albany.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Private school of 6,500 students specializing in technical degrees. Has five schools: architecture, engineering, humanities and social sciences, management and technology, and science. Located in Troy.

The Sage Colleges- Comprises Russell Sage College (a four-year, residential undergraduate college for women) , Sage Junior College of Albany (two-year, coeducational college), Sage Evening College (offers two-year and four-year degrees to working women and men) and Sage Graduate School (offers master's degrees and post-master's certification in a variety of disciplines).

Siena College -- An independent, liberal arts college with a Franciscan tradition, located in Loudonville, N.Y.

Skidmore College - An independent, coeducational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of 2,200. Located in Saratoga Springs.

University at Albany -- Public university with a broad mission of undergraduate and graduate education, research and public service. Has about 16,000 students in eight degree-granting schools and colleges.
