Storytime
-
Tuesdays at 11 am.  Librarian Jane Chirgwin reads stories and teaches a simple craft. This is a drop-in storytime for children ages 2-5.  No sign-up necessary, babies welcome.

Friends of the Rensselaer Library- Monday, July 21 at 5:30 PM.  This is an organizational meeting where the group will be setting by-laws.  New members welcome!


Join us this summer to Catch the Reading Bug, the 2008 New York State Summer Reading Program.  Kickoff starts July first!  Track minutes read and get prizes.  Special events all summer long. Come to the library for more details.
All programs are free.  Sign up is required for some events.

Craft times- Thursdays at 3 PM all summer, starting July 10th.  Learn a new craft every week, like beading, painting or decoupage.

Worms!- Wednesday, July 23 at 3 PM.  Find out all about worms with Carol Morley.  Live worms!  Sign up required.  Ages 5 and up.

Beautiful Butterflies- Saturday, July 26 at 1 pm.  Learn about butterflies with the Scotia-Glenville Travelling Museum, then make a project.  Sign up required.  Ages 5 and up.

Sculpting with Color- Wednesday, July 30 at 3 pm.  Create a sculpture with the Tang art musuem.  Sign up required.  Ages 5 and up.

Fantastic Beings- Saturday, August 9 at 1 PM.  Create your own fabulous creature out of your own imagination with the Scotia Glenville Traveling Museum.  Sign up required.  Ages 7 and up.

Teen Game night- Wednesday, Agust 13 from 6-8.  Play board games, card games and try out guitar hero on the wii.  Ages 10 and up.

Readers Party- Your reading record is your ticket to this party on Thursday, August 28 from 6-8.  Pizza, prizes and more!
