RCS Community Library serves residents of the
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School District. The library provides
access to books, audio books, movies, music recordings, and computers for
games, word processing and the Internet. Wireless Internet access
is available.
The Library's membership in the Upper Hudson Library System
gives patrons access to the resources of all the public libraries in
Rensselaer and Albany Counties and access to interlibrary loan service.
"Tell Me About It" The Library's memory project will
gather stories from childhood, family life, school days, and work life
during informal workshop meetings in June and July. We hope
to create family and community legacies through storytelling, and we
hope that the senior members of our community will come.

Funding for this
project is from the Upper Hudson Library System's Outreach Grant
Program.
The Public Budget Hearing is
on Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m., in the RCS High School Library Media
Center.
The Referendum is on Tuesday, May 20, in the High School gym, from 7
a.m. to 9 p.m.
There is one opening on the Board of Trustees and one candidate for the
seat, Mary Ellen Lee.
Wagging Tales Next Reading

WAGGING TALES reading program
pairs children up with special canine reading companions for
15-20 minutes of enjoyable, relaxing reading practice.
This kind of program, nationally, has proved its
value for improving children's reading abilities and attitudes.
