Library Card Issuance
Policy
1. A library card will be issued
upon application to any person age 8 or up residing or owning property in the town of
Petersburgh and having no outstanding obligations to our library or other libraries in the
Upper Hudson Library System and with proof of identification. A library card will be
issued to children from Kindergarten through age 7 with a parent's signature and proof of
identification.
2. Identification: NYS Driver's License, or
other picture ID with current address is acceptable. The addresss must be on a document
that carries a recent date or expiration date to show it is a current address. Examples
include: water bill, telephone bill, or lease.
3. To be valid, the card must be signed by the
patron, indicating agreement to abide by all rules & policies of the Petersburgh
Public Library.
4. There is no charge for an initial card, but
a $1 fee will be charged to replace a lost card.
5. A library card must be presented to sign
out materials from the library.
