This is the Georgetown University Lauinger Library Special Collections Division
of Archives, Manuscripts, Rare Books & Fine Prints. It includes visiting special
collections, a search engine, subject guides, finding aids and information for research
requests.
MidAtlantic Regional
Archives Conference
MARAC is a regional consortium of archivists concerned with the documentation of
the human experience, the professional competence of archivists, and the acquisition,
preservation, bibliographic control, and use of all types of historical research
materials. The site has MARAC publications, surveys, and links to archival institutions
and organizations.
National Union Catalog for
Manuscript Collections (NUCMC)
This should always be your first stop when looking for the existence or location
of archival collections. NUCMC is a free-of-charge cooperative cataloging program operated
by the Library of Congress. The site has information about archives and manuscript
repositories, archival education, archival societies, copyright and fair use, archival
standards, grants, scholarships, employment opportunities, listservs and usenet groups,
and preservation.

The Society provides leadership to help ensure the identification, preservation,
