Bates Building

District #2 School

In 1914 the District #2 School was built. This four room school was built in front of the school erected in the 1800's. The East Greenbush Library and Town Hall moved into the building in 1955. Since 1972 it has been known as the Edward W. Bates Memorial Community Building.

Town Hall and the Library moved to the Clinton Heights School in 1984. The East Greenbush Community Library opened at its new location, 10 Community Way, on March 4, 2001. Visit the library in person or online!

The Bates Building is owned by the East Greenbush Community Library.
