- 12 libraries have returned their UHLAN service contracts
- Erate for 2003-04 has been filed by Rachel
- Discussion of State Library issues – retirements, not filling
positions. It is becoming increasingly difficult to work with
the Department of Library Development due to these changes.
- Online databases are up and running. Rachel is working on some
glitches. The Times Union database information was sent out to
everyone via email.
- LSTA Grant Funding – expires on January 11 and UHLS may not
receive the rest of the funding it has been expecting. The Federal
government has not done its part in the process which has jeopardized
the funding.
- POLISDO – There is a meeting on January 6th with
Commissioner Mills to plead the case for library funding and New
Century Libraries.
