Hi! Welcome to the Youth Services Department of the Guilderland Public Library. We are happy to offer programs and services to our patrons from those in infancy to grade 12!

What we do:

During the school year, we offer a series of regular storytime programs for children of different ages. We also offer movies, special holiday and school vacation programs, and an ongoing chess club.

In the summer, we offer Summer Reading Clubs for both children and teens. If you like craft programs - we’ve got craft programs, if you like book discussion groups - we’ve got those too, if you like performers - oh, boy is this the place for you! You’ll find all this and more during our summer offerings at the library. Check us out this summer as we celebrate this year’s theme, “Get a Clue at Your Library”

And, of course we are also always here to answer your questions! Whether you have a homework question, or you want to find a book to read just for fun, we’re here to help you try to find what you’re looking for!

So what do we do when we’re not helping you find answers to your questions or planning programs? We order books! Lots of new books! We’re always on the lookout for new books! So, if you have any suggestions, let us know!!!
