Open Programs- No Registration Required
Drop-In Storytimes are a fun way for families or children with their caregivers to spend time together listening to stories, singing songs, and creating crafts. Drop-in storytimes are open to children of all ages and require no registration. Come join us for a morning, afternoon, or evening of storytime fun! Caregivers must attend. Crossgates Family Storytime Join us in Borders at Crossgates Mall on Wednesday mornings beginning February 6, 2008 as we read books, sing songs, and have some fun! This is a drop-in storytime program open to children of all ages with their caregivers. High School Musical 2 Join us to watch High School Musical 2 on the BIG SCREEN! Bring a friend and sing along! Rated TV-G. Bike Safety Workshop May is Bike Month! Join us and members of the New York Bicycling Coalition on May 31 at GPL for some outdoor and indoor family fun. We’ll have a bike safety demonstration for kids outside, and information, giveaways, and the announcement of our poster contest winners (see below for information on the poster contest). Bike Safety Poster Contest Feeling creative? Want to win free bike gear? Jump in and create a poster to help promote bike safety. Guidelines can be picked up at the Guilderland Public Library or Altamont Free Library beginning May 1. Winners will be announced on May 31 at the Guilderland Public Library during our workshop and information session (see above). Chess Club Join us at the library every Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 for our informal chess club. Participants are not required to attend every week, but boards and pieces are provided for anyone interested!
