Comedy Covers – Time to “Stand-Up” for TRW 2007 featuring stand-up comic Erick James!

This year’s theme for Teen Read Week is LOL @ Your Library, which encourages all teens to take time out and find the funny wherever it may be…including the library! To celebrate, we’re hosting a comedy event called Comedy Covers featuring a performance and career Q&A with touring stand-up comic, Erick James! When bands play songs by other artists, they’re “covering” that band’s tune. By performing a “comedy cover”, you’re “covering” another comic’s stand-up bit, i.e., if I got on the mic and told Jim Gaffigan’s “Hot Pockets” jokes, I’d be doing a comedy cover! If you think you can bring the funny with someone else’s joke (btw, jokes have to be performed clean – we can’t have foul language being thrown around) sign up at the Teen Services Desk. Trevor promises to participate and tell jokes by a couple of his favorite comedians, so be sure to show up and laugh with him…or AT him!
