TAC: The Teen Advisory Committees @ the Guilderland Public Library!

The Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) is the library’s think tank and street team devoted to improving teen services and getting the word out about library events! At the meetings, TAC comes up with ideas for events and what the library should buy for teens to use here or to check out and take home. We also just hang and have a good time. By being in TAC, you’re helping not only me, but the library as well - and you’ll get credit for volunteer hours. Meetings are held usually the first Wednesday each month, starting at 7 pm.

Topics of discussion include:
Creation of a newsletter / ‘zine
The library and social networking
Libraries and gaming - digital and TCGs, etc.
Media formats, libraries, and the future (i.e. are CDs going the way of the dinosaurs and what should the library do to adapt?)
Event planning
Stuff the library should buy
Reading-based events - New ideas for reading programs!
TAC t-shirt design (?)
