Library Expedition

Voorheesville Public Library

Unique Features and Facts:

  • An original Van Rensselaer lease from 1791, signed by Stephen Van Rensselaer III (founder of RPI).
  • A booksale in a shed! We have an ongoing booksale in two sheds, run by our Friends of the Library. The sheds are usually open on Tuesdays. Call us to verify hours if you're interested in shopping while you visit!
  • The library is located in a country setting explored by many bikers and hikers. We're at the end of a rail trail and have both a garden and a bike fixit.

Local Food:
Check out Indian Ladder Farms just a short drive from the library. They have great lunches, original ciders and cider donuts.
