Unique Features and Facts:

  • Our building was once a school called the Lansingburgh Academy. The 21st President, Chester A. Arthur, taught here! Herman Melville, who wrote the famous book Moby Dick, was a student here and began some of his early works in this very building.

Local Food:
Snoman's Ice cream is kitty-corner from the library. Jimmy's Pizza and Liberty Pizza are both within a few blocks.
