Rensselaerville Library

Unique Features and Facts:

  • A library was organized in Rensselaerville in 1798. There is a Federal Library Historic marker outside our building.
  • Our building was a boot shop before being converted to a reading room in 1896.
  • Enjoy our beautiful backyard, where you can listen to Ten Mile Creek. Nearby are the Huyck Preserve trails for some post-library visit hiking.
  • We loan fishing poles!
  • Please note: there are no gas stations in Rensselaerville.

Local Food:
The Shell Inn on the way into town has sandwiches, salads, and pizza.
