The Castleton Public Library is now automated, and part of the automation process is issuing new library cards to all Library patrons. The new cards are called UHLAN cards!

UHLAN stands for Upper Hudson Library Access Network. The blue and white plastic UHLAN card will allow you to take out books, videos, CD's and audiocassettes from any library in the System, which includes all the libraries in Albany and Rensselaer counties. UHLAN cardholders also have access to services and databases at home.

We are very excited about all the new services that are available through the Library now that the Library is online. If Library patrons have not already done so, we encourage them to visit the Library and sign up for the new cards.
