Upper Hudson Library System Databases

The databases are made available by the Albany Public Library and the Upper Hudson Library System. The databases are available at any Library in Albany and Rensselaer counties, or from home with a valid Library Card from a public library in Albany or Rensselaer Counties.


Booksinprint.com is a comprehensive and authoritative bibliographic database with over 34 million titles. Look up books, audios and videos. Find the latest Oprah selection, award winners, best-sellers, publisher addresses and author biographies.

Business and Company Resource Center is a fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information. This database is part of the EmpireLink project, made available through Library services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds by the New York State Library.

Dialog@CARL is a collection of over 250 bibliographic, full-text, statistical, numeric and directory databases. It includes both full text articles and references to articles on a wide variety of subjects. Dialog gives years of coverage and data type in its basic collection list. EBSCO is a full text database that provides single-search access to the wide variety of health information sources. It can help you find information on symptoms or diseases.
