The local history collection contains monographs, both
fiction and non-fiction on the Poestenkill area. A small number of items on Rensselaer
County are included. A local history vertical file includes pamphlets, clippings and
ephemera about the area. Newsletters from the local historical society are also retained.
The Town Historian is located in the same building as the library and those collections
