Friends of the Castleton Public Library |
|
Are you a friend of the Library? If you care about the Castleton Public Library, then you are already a friend of the Library!. The Friends of the Schodack Library are an organization whose members focus on the library, its needs and those of the community it serves. You will find that our group is motivated to help spotlight the Castleton Library for the gem it is. We support our library by volunteering, fundraising, purchasing books and media, as well as financially supporting some of the programming. We are dedicated to helping our library thrive in our community. If everyone helps a little, we can accomplish all of our goals. So please join us! You will have fun, meet new people, see old friends, and be helping your community all at the same time. If you would like to become a "Friend" of the Library, please complete and return the application. The Friends meet every third Wednesday of the Month. For more information, contact Nina Martino at 732-0879 or via email at friendsofcastletonlibrary@yahoo.com. 2009 Friends Board

Treat yourself to a three course gourmet meal at one of the Culinary Institute of America's (CIA) fine restaurants! The Friends of the Schodack Castleton Library, in conjunction with the Village of Castleton, are sponsoring a bus trip to the CIA (Hyde Park, NY) on Veteran's Day, November 11th. We will be dining at the American Bounty Restaurant. The three course meal includes: American Bounty Caesar Salad, Parmesan Crusted Supreme of Chicken stuffed with Mushrooms, Hominy Sun-dried Tomato Gratin, Merlot Sauce, followed by Brownie Cheesecake with Chocolate Sauce. Coffee, tea and iced tea are provided, as well. After lunch, there will be plenty of time to tour the CIA campus, their bookstore or even get a sweet treat at their Apple Pie Bakery Cafe. The cost of this trip will vary slightly, depending on the number of people who sign up. We estimate the cost to be between $57 and $72/per person based on attendance. A $10 deposit is required by September 21st. Call the Library at 732-0879 to reserve your spot today! |
